On 14th September, the English lesson preparation group in the west campus of Anqing Foreign Language School held the ‘Go For It’ English Word Competition which aimed to gain new insights through reviewing old materials. Thus, on the one hand, the contest examined whether students earnestly reviewed lessons during their summer vacation. On the other hand, it checked students’ abilities of creative studies and application towards knowledge.
Overall, this informative competition selected eighteen outstanding test papers and posted them up in the School Entrance Hall. By means of this activity, we hoped to stimulate students to better grasp the basic English knowledge and make flexible use of it. In the meantime, students were supposed to shape neat and formal writing habits to be fully prepared for the upcoming English test in the Senior High School Entrance Examination.
